Privacy policy

The short version

We store your email so you can sign in, your drafts and voice samples if you save them, and how many words you have used so we can meter your plan. Your text is sent to a language-model provider to be edited and is not used to train anything. We do not sell data and there is no advertising.

What we collect

• Email address — to sign you in by magic link and to contact you about your account. We do not store a password because there is none.
• Drafts — the text you submit and the rewrite, if you are signed in on a plan that keeps history. Signed-out drafts are processed and discarded; nothing is written down.
• Voice samples — writing you paste to have the rewrite match your style. Stored until you delete them.
• Usage — word counts per billing period. For signed-out visitors, a daily count of words and rewrites, keyed by a one-way keyed hash of your network address. The address itself is never stored, the hash cannot be turned back into it, and each day’s count is deleted after 30 days. It exists only to keep the free tier from being abused.
• Billing — handled entirely by our merchant of record. We hold a customer reference and your plan; we never see your card.

Where it goes

• Anthropic processes every rewrite. Your draft is sent to their API and the result returned. Under their API terms, data sent this way is not used to train models.
• Supabase hosts the database and handles sign-in. Data is stored in their Seoul region.
• Our merchant of record handles payment, tax, and invoicing, and is the seller of record for your purchase.
• Our hosting provider serves the site and holds standard server logs for a short period.

None of these receive more than they need to do their part. None receive your data for their own use.

Cookies

One cookie, for your sign-in session. No analytics cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts on the page. If we add analytics later, this section will say so first.

How long we keep it

• Drafts and voice samples: until you delete them, or your account.
• Email and plan: while your account exists.
• Everything: removed when you delete your account. Backups clear within 30 days.

Your rights

You can see, export, correct, or delete your data. Drafts and voices can be deleted from inside the app. For anything else, or to delete your account entirely, email support@readshuman.com and we will do it within a few days and confirm.

Children

The service is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email account holders before it takes effect. The date at the top is the current version.
